Personality

Lian is aloof and temperamental, keeping a wall of sharp spikes around her heart.

Background

Present

A temperamental young woman with an unknown past who wields a strange sword that allows her to unlock and use a Phantasm’s powers.

When she uses her sword, she fuses with Nao and becomes much wilder and more violent. Her hair becomes a bright blue and her eyes glow yellow.

She decides to join the Hunters to learn more about Phantasms and the powers of her sword.

Past

Lian was the result of a question : can a human harness the power of the gods? And so, Lian was made, not born, in an underground lab, too close to the surface to be affected by the Underworld’s reversed gravity, too low under the ground to be considered a territory of the surface. A neutral ground.

Where nobody will bat an eye at their inhuman experiments.

Lian was simply one of the latter iterations of the same project, man-made children who were to be powerful vessels and, most importantly, malleable.

Perfect weapons.

Trivia

• When Lian uses her sword, her hair and eyes become much brighter.
• According to her, the sigils on her sword spell Nao’s full name, though nobody can actually read them, and both her and Nao stay weirdly cryptic about it.
